Three-dimensional heteroepitaxy in self-assembled BaTiO 3- CoFe 2O 4 nanostructures

Abstract |
Pulse laser deposition was used to investigate self-assembled BaTiO 3-CoFe 2O 4 complex oxide nanostructures. A single ceramic target with the molar ratio of 0.62BaTiO 3-0.38CoFe 2O 4 was used. The nanostructures, with CoFe 2O 4 nanopillars assembled in a BaTiO 3 matrix are epitaxial in-plane and out-of-plane. The results show that the substrate temperature increases from 750 to 950°C and the average diameter of the pillars increased from ∼9 to ∼70 nm.
