| Abstract |
These slides summarize and explain empirical data on interconnection timelines and costs for distributed energy projects connected to U.S. utility distribution systems. The study explores how interconnection metrics vary across states, project sizes, technology types, and over time to indicate progress toward simple, fast, and affordable interconnection. Data encompasses 188 utilities in 24 states. Project types include biomass/biofuels, coal, hydropower, natural gas/oil, solar, storage, wind, hybrid, and other technologies. |
