| Abstract |
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory compiled and synthesized empirical data on U.S. hybrid and co-located power plants, defined as projects that combine two or more generators and/or storage assets at a single point of interconnection. This data product presents an annual snapshot of trends in hybrid and co-located power plants. It summarizes public empirical data, especially from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and transmission provider interconnection queues. This 2025 edition summarizes data for generators and storage systems coming online through the end of 2024 with a focus on the most recent full calendar year. The latest update contains project-level data on 543 hybrid projects installed through 2024. The update includes data synthesis covering:
