| Abstract |
The power system analysis area has recently been challenged by the merge between the automotive and power industries and their combined objective to work towards a lowcarbon electrified transport economy. In order to study the hourly effects on the reliability of power systems, this paper first proposes a discussion of the risk methodologies and then a novel way of examining the probability distributions of the reliability indices based on a hybrid approach. The effects of the substantial use of renewable energy combined with the integration of electric vehicles will be discussed in relation to the IEEE test systems and a planning configuration of the Portuguese Generation System. Keywords—Power system reliability, Wind power generation, Monte Carlo methods. |
