Abstract

This paper covers topics concerning enery use in buildings. Its main focus is that of energy use in buildings in the United States. A second section describes some of the recent results of work by one of the authors (BA) on energy performance of residential buildings in China. The third section contains suggestions for ways in which Chinese and U.S. researchers could establish fruitful collaboration on energy use in buildings.
