Cost of reducing carbon emissions

This paper summarizes a detailed assessment assessment of the achievable cost-effective potential for reducing carbon emissions in 2010 in the US residential and commercial buildings sectors. Our analysis shows that substantial reductions in future greenhouse gas emissions can be realized through the use of more energy-efficient technologies that save money and reduce pollution at the same time. These carbon reductions can therefore be achieved at negative net cost to society.
