%X <p><span>In this presentation to the Massachusetts Grid Modernization Advisory Council, Lisa Schwartz presented on distribution system planning elements and requirements in other states. Topics include grid modernization, distributed energy resources, data-related requirements, and stakeholder engagement and equity. Under the state's&nbsp;</span><a href="https://malegislature.gov/Laws/SessionLaws/Acts/2022/Chapter179" target="_blank" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://malegislature.gov/Laws/SessionLaws/Acts/2022/Chapter179&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1681892507277000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2NCGi1uvRUtoucVWjiKgV2">2022 Climate Law</a><span>, the Advisory Council is charged with reviewing and providing recommendations on electric-sector modernization plans filed by investor-owned electric distribution companies. The plans will include a summary of distribution system investments and alternatives, distribution system improvements to increase system reliability and resiliency for weather and disaster-related risks and to facilitate transportation and building electrification, forecasts for 5- and 10-year planning horizons, and an assessment of demand through 2050.</span></p>
