%X <p>The infrared radiation properties of polyethylene terephthalate films are calculated from the optical constants. Hemispherical total transmittance and emittance are given as functions of thickness. The difference between these properties and those of glass will significantly affect the thermal conductance of windows or solar collector covers.</p>
